Mentoring Moments

Mentoring, or discipleship, is a a common practice in a Christians life. It is not a dictator or domineering leader forcing their thoughts on the less mature, but a conversation that takes us on a journey of discovery. Discovery can work both ways in a mentoring partnership.

It is common for a younger follower of Jesus to learn from those with more years and experience. I know for those I am in a mentoring relationship we have a conversation that opens the door to understanding. It is not a demand or a pressure but the uncovering of kingdom truths and God's heart for that individual. I often receive a benefit of learning as well, due to each individuals expression of the kingdom being their own.
